Thanks for the info in the dragon. I found Selia the waterspirit to be extremely useful once she gained the heavenly sword skill. Sit her on a city and laugh as your enemy get one hit KO'ed.

The water NPCs I use normally for vaporizing enemy blue ether sinks or red fireballs/flameshowers/railguns. I never had the unfortunate reason to use them as the main attacker unless I have to clean up an enemy with only 100 hp left. (or something with very little)

Fhoenix, I am totally confused by your unit placements. You prioritized Halion over Nim as the secondary sweepup team tanker. Do you have any reason for doing so? I remember Nim is tougher than Halion in regarding tanking hits. Or am I just wrong? (I've never leveled up NPCs except for the main attacker, Oru is leveled up consistently incase I need her for something)

If your level difference is great enough, you can afford Aselia/Espelia/Yuuto team formation, due to the nature of Yuuto's spells that prioritizes firepower and coupled with Aselia massive hulk damage, Espelia normally gets the short end of the stick, namely receiving fireballs and ether sinks. But I avoid trying to do that because I need Aselia on the support to counteract spells and Espelia can't suck more than one or two spell hits. And that seems to happen all the time. Infact Aselia only gets the front seater if the enemy is too high in HP for Yuuto to two shot k.o. (His Berserk skill is the two shot K.O.er)

[Secondary] Himika/Nim/(N/A)
[Tertiary] Faren/Halion/(N/A)

Are my current teams. Fourth team is consisted of "benchers" or "backup" which swaps with the first three teams, so I won't mention them. My supporters are not "mentioned" because I judge the situation per basis and put either "red support" or "blue support" in the N/A. Faren is not secondary attacker because I avoid damaging her mind, and I can't recover her mind fast enough.

I usually use Aselia as attacker when the enemy supporter is a black unit.

A quick question concerning blue counter-spell-like ability (ice ???). I was fighting several enemies that casts red spells multiple times per battle. My blue spirit seems to block the first one if she is using level II, but once she is using level III she is blocking both red spells. I checked to ensure that there are indeed more than 2 remaining casts of the level II skill on the blue spirit.

As well, a battle tip to limit turns used per battle. When enemy spawn and your unit is on the same square, they will fight until one unit is completely wiped out. Instead of wasting 2-3 turns killing it, you can strategically place units where they spawn to limit the time it takes to complete the map. However, this has its downside -- if you are out of attack abilities, and the enemy is out of attack abilities... well you are stuck in an endless loop and must close the program and reload from an earlier save.

Not endless actually, after 20 turns of a continuous battle you get a game over :D.

Hmmm...
Well, new here and already asking for help, sounds kinda lame, but...

Anyway I am trying to wack the blindfold eternal, a Mitrosamea, and am getting slaughtered by her spell. Tried using Blue sklills to stop her dry but either I am not doing things right or the skills aren't high enough.
Think the highest Ether sink is Lv 3 and the mana freeze at 5.
Guess worst case scenario I can backtrack and level some of the blue girls till they get a better freeze but I'd like to have some idea if I am in the right path.

BTW, what rules the chars getting new techs? or is it something scripted?

If you keep Shrouded Sword II on Faren (+1 Mind) you can keep it up without too much trouble.

You can't banish eternal skills, on easy difficulty I think I just killed her with Aselia (the Eternal)/Yuuto/Halion in 1-2 rounds of combat, I think Aselia/Halion/Yuuto or Aselia/Nimthor/Yuuto works too.

Some misconceptions regarding banish II. Some blue NPCs have banish II, BUT THEY ONLY WORK ONCE. Some NPCs have banish II but works TWICE. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE NOTE OF THE BANISH ACTION "COUNTERS"

This is how it works.

Banish II, 4 maximum uses, X remaining uses, ONCE per battle, OR TWICE per battle.

Banish II is NOT ALWAYS TWO TURNS.

And also there's an error with the storyline.

After Mission 11: Capture Sardbart

After the event for the bath

Choice 1: Play with Orpha <=== Either choice will lead to the following event below.
Choice 2: Sorry, I'll pass today (Heart) <=== Either choice will lead to the following event below.

*Choice 1: I'm curious, so I'll go talk with them(Heart) <=== This event will occur even if you select choice 1 or 2 from previous event
*Choice 2: I shouldn't interfere with their work <=== This event will occur even if you select choice 1 or 2 from previous event

The choices with the * asterisk will appear, and that event WILL happen. Even if you choose Choice 1 or Choice 2 from the PREVIOUS event. Someone please take note of this and do some corrections.

However, this does not mean you can skip the "heart" event for childhood friend or the miko girl. I am just trying to confirm that the event with the washtubs WILL occur, REGARDLESS whether you play with Orpha or not. :D

Thanks for the info on Banish. It appears as Aselia is indeed superior to other blue spirits, as she rightfully should be. We may need a progression chart for level gain to help people decide who to level and when.

I noticed the trend that Banish II usually shows up around 4,5,6, and Banish III around 9,10, except in the younger of the sisters who is not getting it even though she is level 11 already...

I would recommend against that. That would be a "real" walkthrough, and not a guide anymore. Although I know this is called a "walkthrough", but as people has mentioned before in the previous replies, this is a "guide" rather than a walkthrough.

If you needed the walkthrough. I believe I have the first 1-30 level information on everyone, I have a japanese COMPLETE walkthrough of all the information on battle, down to every single spawn point and team make up for each spawn point. That kinda defeats the purpose of the game. I had this guide because I was confused on the choices for some of the "love routes", but I didn't really use the guide as a reference for my battles. And it's considerably harder to understand, since it's all in japanese.

I don't really see how knowing character progression makes it not a guide any more; most "strategy guides" for American games have extremely complete info on abilities, characters, and story. That said, arguing the semantics of "walkthrough" vs. "guide" is not really all that relevant, as the staff themselves have referred to it as both in different contexts. What is more relevant is whether the staff feel that such a list would be appropriate for their guide, and that's up to them, of course.

Even if Dakkodango doesn't want to include the complete character progression list, I'd be interested in seeing it, or at least an ability overview. Training time is precious, especially since every mission that I've trained more than once has caused me to lose SS rank--and I've achieved SS so far on every mission except two of the first 10 on my first playthrough using no resources aside from Dakkodango guide.

As to Japanese resources, I haven't really looked/tried to use anything online with google translate or similar resources, as when I've tried to do such things in the past it's usually ended up being more trouble than it's worth (and of course I can't read any moonrunes).
