After mission 11 it tells that the "I'm curious, so I'll go talk to them" appears only if you pick "Sorry, I'll pass today" option early. But now that I try it, no matter what I choose in the conversation with Orpha an event with Faren & Nimnthor comes next and I get an opton to ignore/participate.

Also, I think that "ctrl speeds up battles" shoud be written in big red letters on the first page of the guide. It's too frigging useful to be left for the hotkeys section.
Right you are, fixing.

Confirmed Garion still spawns even past turn 300, not experiencing any issues. Killing Raze was not required for it either. Only possibility that comes to mind is that he doesn't spawn at all on 1st playthrough, can someone confirm that he did? Remember to visit Rizario though.

Hmmm.....I tried to make it appear during the 1st playthrough:
1)before turn count 300, before turn 30 of current mission
2)after turn count 300, before turn 30 of current mission
3)after turn count 300, after turn 30 of current mission
And after shuffling the squads inside out.... and it still didn't work.(visited rizario of course)

I guess its 2nd playthrough onwards....

*EDIT* Hmmmm.... I never did try using the same unit that went for the advice to fight the dragon, so maybe that might work?

Probably second playthrough only yes, I'll take my second playthrough save later to check him :)

But still, that would be strange, considering you get the rumor and all.

I probably wont be able to fight the dragons then........what else do dragons give besides mana and mind?
You'll need the extra mana to ensure whatever unit you haven't maxed out at the last mission of the game, to be maxed out, so you won't get owned when you move up the difficulty scale. (Assuming you lack mana and haven't reached max lvl before last mission...)

You can waste all the turns you want on the last mission, there's no rank difference there. Otherwise I wouldn't waste my turns converting mana. If your mana conversion facilities aren't keeping up with your mana production rate, it's a sign you need additional powerplants! (lol)

General tip to anyone else who plays it (first run through), build an ether converter of lvl 2 or lvl 3 whenever you receive your first construction workers. Other structures are not important at this point, except maybe training facilities at long range bases. (Or teleportion devices, but that's way late in the game) You might think making an ether converter the second you gain construction workers at the first playthrough of the game be wasteful or unneeded. It's not true, you don't want to be a sitting duck waiting for mana so you can rush train your units whenever you can. This ensures you keep getting S ranks as you continue on. (Atleast up until Mission 8 I got S/SS ranks consistently, no one died, I didn't sword release either.)

I knew what I was doing because I played this game in japanese ages ago (18+ edition, the first 3 CD-rom game) however I didn't advance the game because I was too stoopid to figure out that BATTLES IN THE GAME HAD TO DO WITH LOVE POINTS. But it was loads of fun. (Hey hey, Eushully hgames didn't have much love points associated to battles either, and they make lots of hgames with gaming elements. Meh)

S/SS ranks give considerable mana bonuses that are out of the normal building mana reserves, A rank at early stages give about 600 mana while S gives 1000, SS gives 2000. Mind bonuses... I don't really care about them, they really don't run out of mind do they?! You only have an issue about mind if you go play the dark route of the game but! they blew that out. Well... I guess higher level skills consume a lot of mind per hit. The skills I've seen at max, don't burn more than a few points of mind.

Just to get a second opinion. Should I level up Opha? She has the HP of a drowning kitty, but I wonder if I will have excess mana in the last stage if I just level a selected few character to max level.

During my first playthrough, I've used Orpha (decently levelled up) as a back-up cleaner squad. Having her in a squad mean you'll have almost no damage dealers if you need to counterspell ennemy casters for a battle, since she'll most likely be attacking and her kicks are beyond pathetic.
I'll try to have her outlevel everybody else when I'll do her route, so I'll get back on how that goes :)

Dunno, I even out my mana distribution between priorities for Aselia, Yuuto and Espelia. Leftover mana goes to Orup, only incase something disastrous happens and she gets hit for no good reason (i know her HP is half a dead rat, but with no leveling, she is a dead rat).

I never raise my NPCs. If my missions get too powerful and my older NPCs can't handle the new troops, they just get benched.

I haven't played much of Aselia second time run throughs. (I always made a new game in the past, I didn't know Aselia could carry saves over in the past) Is the NPCs worth leveling up seriously? I don't seem to think they are.

I used a technique of having Yuuto/Defender/Aselia most of the time, aselia to block the enemy spells, and yuuto to quickly kill the attacker/supporter.
I kept Orpha solo in a seperate squad as a "Defender killer" for the large amount of times that i ended up with a defender but no Attacker or Supporter left on the enemy field.
PM me for a table of CE addresses for all the spirits in Eien no Aselia. If you don't know what I mean, just be on your way...

There's nothing wrong with the secondary bluespirits, you can't go wrong with additional high-level Banishes or Ether Sinks for stopping bosses and nasties from doing anything at all, and they hit reasonably hard - harder than Uruka, say. I also prefer Himika to Orpha, and Helion isn't bad for the situations where you need a defender with some resistance.
