Version 1.01 Bug Report / Tech Support Thread
Re: Version 1.01 Bug Report / Tech Support Thread
I fast forwarded a couple mins ahead (up until one of the girls plays the flute?), and everything so far is in Japanese.
I set all the files in the data folder to read only and reinstalled the patch to see which files are being overwritten. Only the 3 files I posted above get modified, since they came back with the message "this file is read only".
Thanks for any help. I think the culprit may still be the fact that I'm using .NET framework 2.0.

Well sorry
Patching to .NET 3.5 shouldn't be that long though no ?

In my first post, I was hoping to avoid having to patch WinXp up to at least SP 2, since I'll be upgrading to vista/7 soon. Thanks for your patience and willingness to help I'll probably just wait until I update my O/S to play this. Currently re-reading FSN, and I still have Ever-17 to go through as well.

Re: Version 1.01 Bug Report / Tech Support Thread
So I installed Eien no Aselia using the Jap characters (I run in jap locale all the time now lol.) Is that why when I run the patch it says it cannot find the installation (since I'm pretty sure I bought the correct version) but when I manually install it, the game runs with words translated ( I think, I only tested the first few lines). Also, when is the OP supposed to play since I get the "presented by Xuse" page (w. voice) and then I hit the menu?
So my question is, is my installing it using jap directories gonna effect the installation of adult CGs, and running of the game/proper application of the patch.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

The "can't find install" is no big deal, I had it too ; the path in the registry seems to be correct, at least after the english patch (in Hkey_Local_machine/Software/Xuse_corp/AseliaCs/install) and the game works 100%. But if I understand correctly you have no problem either ?
There are no eroCGs in this version ; if by adult CG you mean scenes with like in the bath or such, I don't think it matters. You can use the uncensor tool on them too, just extract it (from the "extra" thread) in your installation folder.
There isn't really a difference between the japanese character and our "/", it mostly is cosmetic to avoid confusion with kanas. If you gave your folder a japanese name, like, i dunno, c:¥games¥あせりあ¥, there wont be any troubles I think, unless you switch to english local.
Regarding the OP, like in many VN you have it after the prologue and before chapter 1. If I remember correctly... :p

Yatta! Works for me, does not crash like the last patch! Thanks again cheese
Once again
E8400 Core 2 Duo
2GiB Ram
Windows XP 32 Bit
Works with those specs
Not sure if you included your translated OP in the patch tho, as it didnt overwrite the one in the folder, but i just downloaded it from extra's

I tried the ver 1.00 cz yesterday Idunno there's the latest ver. (1.02)
it's keep showing error whenever I applied the patch, the jap ver running smoothly, though.

Re: Version 1.02 Bug Report / Tech Support Thread
I've been having kind of an odd problem, whenever I click on a squad it doesn't bring up the menu while in missions. So I've been stuck on a mission because I can't train my characters (no Ice Banisher II ftl...). I was wondering if anyone had an idea on how to fix this.
Okay, figured it out, seems I have to ctrl+click to bring up the menu, too bad it can't be anything intuitive like escape, right-click, or some hot-key
