Toss those in your data folder and you should be set. I guess I won't need to upload the 700MB graphics if the graphic compiler worked.

Re: Version 1.01 Bug Report / Tech Support Thread
Is it possible to install the translation patch without .NET 3.5? I'm using 2.0 without issues, but cannot install up to 3.5 without a slew of updates to my WinXP. I've been holding out on updating my OS (getting Vista or 7 soon)
Currently with .NET 2.0, I am able to install the game and patch in entirety without a single bug, but the game comes out untranslated. Thanks for any work arounds, but if it's too much trouble I'll just wait until I update my O/S before playing.

Have you watched if the patch actually does something in your install directory ? It should add a few files, including "aseliacs_english.exe" which you want to be running to have the game translated. I know it sounds ridiculous, but maybe you didn't select the correct directory during the patch, or maybe you're not running the good .exe ?
I've check my version of .NET (just have to open %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\ and see the high numbered folder), I'm at 3.5 on XP and the translation works.
-----
Also, it's definitly possible to patch on lower spec machines, I've installed the translation on my laptop on XP with 2go of RAM.

Hmm yea good pointer there... you say the patch worked fine but game comes out untranslated. Are you sure you're starting the game with the right exe? >.< It still keeps the original one in the directory.

I'm sure I clicked the right exe. I've installed the game multiple times, first setting Applocale to jap for both the game installer and the patch. Then uninstalling, and reinstalling after setting my region/location in windows to Japan.
The only thing I can think of is not using .NET 3.5

Are the dialogs ingame still in Japanese also ?
To start a new game it's the second option in the main menu, はじめから
My root folder is the same as yours ; in your data folder, you should have some files dating from the first install, and some files dating from when you patched the game (check with the time if you installed both on the same day).
My new files are
data05.dll
data05.gd
data07.dll and .gd
data08.dll and .gd
data91.dll and .gd
data01.dll and .gd
The folder weights 1,68 Go (1.806.654.705 o) for 43 files.

Re: Version 1.01 Bug Report / Tech Support Thread
Well you have several files with different sizes, and I have files with .original that match your files (data 5, 7 and 8). So my guess is that the patcher didn't back up the japanese files, and didn't create the new english files in their places. Are your files not in "read-only" ?
A quick look in the files with wordpad (I know...) confirm they are related to the script translation.
It's weird because it still created the .exe in the root directory. Have you tried to skip ahead a bit to see if any elements are translated ? I'd check the files are write-enabled and run the patcher again if I were you.
