What are your expectations of a script editor? Are they also going to be beta tester? or will those two jobs be entirely separate?

I'd expect an editor to read through every scene carefully at least once and change anything they think needs to be changed. Of course, all staff members will be able to be participate in beta testing when that time comes. Beta testing is still a ways off, so I'm not sure whether we'll need to hire additional people for that or not.

As mentioned above editors should also immediately check their changes ingame so in that respect they are playtesters as well. Cheese's made a neat scene viewer which enables you to view the scenes in English which is necessary to make the layout work. You need the game to be able to edit the scripts, otherwise it's impossible to avoid problems with the layout and text space (although it's naturally possible to proofread the script and come up with corrections even without having the game).

Why Dakkodango Translations? What's the story behind the name?

The English patch will automatically update your installation to the latest version, so you won't have to worry about installing this if you haven't already.
