Thanks, I'll be waiting for that :D

Although, what I really need now is to avoid doing someone's route after she gets the best skill (thus overwriting that skill with eternal skills, and thus making the slot unusable for the rest of the game, because I won't do her route again).

Well, I'm not worried about Eternalizing any of my 99s, since their mind-blowingly good skills seem to come in sets of two: For example, yuuto's Eternal and Aura Photon Nova are GODLIKE, while his last support skill is meh. I'll just replace the 'meh' skill with the more AWESOME eternal skill. Same with his attack skills, Explode and Aura Photon Blade are his main, Frenzy is more of an afterthought.

"Waste of a slot" worries only really apply if you REALLY REALLY USE ALL THREE SKILLS ALL THE TIME... but you usually end up only using their best or second best skill before they're either hurt enough to go back to town, or have captured a town.

Frenzy reduces mind by 1 per attack isn't it?

And it doesn't seem to hit as hard as Aura Photon Blade. I prefer Aura Photon Blade when it comes down to killing stuff. (Aura also reduces mind, but bigger bang for your buck)

I prefer keeping an Eternal skill around, you never know when you need it against some boss. Although only very few bosses really need to take eternal skills to knock them out, but better safe than sorry. But yea, Eternal skills can be a stinker, I miss having two Ice banishers on Aselia instead of just one. (The other is ether sink)

Passion + Aura seems to one hit k.o. squads by default. (Works only if Yuuto is all rounder)

If you intend on having the blue NPC spirits as battle capable, you would keep them around all the same level, I used them to banish stuff, so I only upgraded them furiously whenever my opponent had skills that were superior to their ice banishers. Once they had ice banishers capable of doing what I needed them to do, I stop upgrading them to conserve mana. Mainly because the green spirits and my main attackers are soaking enough mana as it is. (Only Selia and Nelie were upgraded, as Aselia was an attacker AND banisher at the same time, the fourth squad never had the real need to banish things, so I didn't have more than 3 banishing capable blue spirits)

Selia has the best banishing (besides Aselia) compared to other blue spirits, Nelia has the best Heaven's Sword(again, not including Aselia). The last blue spirit got the short end of the stick. (I upgraded her in the last mission to see if she was worth squat, it turns out, she is worth nada)

Here's another question about formulae: Yuuto's Elemental I spell decreases the damage Aselia takes from Starfire Sword. What's with that?

did you get shiah's kauto kuminet class rank?

shiah's shining point is her attacks are all elemental. she has a stronger heaven sword than selia, as well. she works well as a one shot wonder.

unfortunately, her weak point is what makes her junk. she's the worst banisher. she doesnt even get ice banisher 5 until 28 or 29.

you raised your characters' elemental attributes against an elemental attack. that's why the damage was reduced.

Yuuto's element spell increases firepower and defense and resistance for and against elements. Yuuto's element skill is useless if it is used on Yuuto himself and if the opponent is Etranger/Eternal.

Etrangers are non-elements, the element doesnt do anything for Yuuto's attacks either, he's also nonelement.

Following cases.

1. If Yuuto uses element on himself, his opponent is blue/red/green/black (not non-element), Yuuto will NOT attack any harder than he would, but he will take even LESS damage.

2. Yuuto uses element on teammates, example Aselia, Aselia will attack harder, and will take less physical damage from blue/red/green/black

3. Yuuto uses element on teammates, example Aselia, Aselia will attack harder, BUT the opponent is Etranger, Aselia will STILL take the same amount of damage and no increased defense capabilities.

4. Yuuto uses element on HIMSELF, his opponent is an ETRANGER, now, Element skill is effectively m00t for doing anything except heal your hp.

PS: I forgot to respond regarding the Heaven's Sword. Nelia's Heaven's Sword attacks twice in one battle, so I still don't get why Shiah is useful. I only mentioned Selia as banisher, not attacker. Shiah's Heaven's Sword attacks once only per battle.

Just use this skill instead.

And for added AWESOME, his aniamtion for it is Essentiallt the polar opposite of Shun's Aura Photon Break.

That suggests that the formulae in the FAQ are insufficiently detailed - Yuuto's skill only affects allies, so somewhere the defender's elemental properties have to come in.

The formula is hacked straight from the game's code and been tested to be accurate. I don't know if the report is correct about the defense boost from Elemental, but that may be a display or other bug, or perhaps the issue is comparing it to using some other skill which happens to decrease defense - or attacker's attack (a LOT of attack skills have effects on target's stats so changing your attacker can alter the damage your defender takes).

Edit: Verified that the spell indeed decreases damage from enemy elemental attacks (but not other attacks). Can only theorize that it either in fact decreases enemy or field elemental modifiers, or increases your resist contrary to what it says.

Just a little thing I was curious about recently (due to it possibly beating the crap out of me in hard mode first go round). The altars to the elements......how exactly do those work and what effects do they have? The description of them was so vague I couldn't be sure what's going on. Only asking cause Sargios has a ton of these altars but if it works the way I felt they worked it'd be pointless to have more than a few types of elemental altars (aka if you up all elements by 30% then it's just the same as having 0% boost in the first place). So yeah I'd really like to know how they work.
