News → New Project: Eien no Aselia – Kono Daichi no Hate de
Dakkodango Translations is pleased to announce its latest translation project:

Eien no Aselia – Kono Daichi no Hate de (PC Version)
It’s a tactical RPG by Xuse that follows the story of Takamine Yuuto, who is transported to a war-torn parallel world and forced to fight using the power of a sacred sword. The game features 7 different routes and 3 difficulty levels that can be unlocked after multiple playthroughs. Save data can be carried over from one playthrough to the next. The game contains no adult content, and is suitable for ages 12 and above.
We’ve already finished the necessary hacking, and have the script and graphics editing well underway. You can check our progress at any time via the bar on the right of the page. Feel free to come talk to us on IRC at #dakkodango @ irc.synirc.net, or visit our forums.
Note: Eien no Aselia – Kono Daichi no Hate de is an enhanced version of Eien no Aselia that includes the routes from both the original game and the expansion pack, and features an improved UI, revised battle system, and new voice actors. It’s a backport of the Playstation 2 release, and comes with the Sei Naru Kana SPECIAL PACKAGE. Please don’t confuse it with other versions of Eien no Aselia.

Great. I love it. But according to the FAQ, this version does not have any H-Scene does it?
April 13th, 2009 at 4:33 am
dakkodango ftw! ty sirs, look forward to your next work.
April 13th, 2009 at 6:24 am

April 13th, 2009 at 3:35 pm
WHAT AM I FIGHTING FORRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
April 13th, 2009 at 9:59 pm
I was very pleased on how Tears of Tiara turned out and there is no doubt this project will have just as much success.
April 14th, 2009 at 12:54 am
I saw a few videos of this game on youtube, and it looks like it’s going to be great. Thanks to all the dakkodango staff — I look forward to playing the translation!
April 14th, 2009 at 3:57 am
nice! but is this game even obtainable by any means? the link X-Calibar posted seems to be for the H version of the game…
April 14th, 2009 at 5:23 am
If you read more closely, this version of Eien no Aselia is bundled *with* Seinarukana Special Package – Seinarukana is like an unrelated sequel. That’s afaik the only way it’s been released, but on the other hand that *is* available because it’s a more recent release, and gets you two games for the price of one.
April 14th, 2009 at 6:37 am
Great pickup! Eien no Aselia is probably one of the “big” untranslated (well I’d love to say eroge but it’s not the case here so… errr…) visual novels out there. I look forward to your future updates on this.
April 14th, 2009 at 2:47 pm
Good luck!
April 14th, 2009 at 6:53 pm
Oh, how I love you guys for picking this up. I am so happy that there are other enthusiastic TRPG/VN player out there.
April 15th, 2009 at 2:39 am
IC, one of my friend has an Eien no Aselia and did a screenshot of it
, i can’t read japanese but the title bar seems to have the name of the game and i was wondering if its Kono Daichi no hate De or not…

Seems to be. Name looks right + that particular CG is different in standard edition.
April 15th, 2009 at 7:00 am
Thank you so much for picking up this game as your next project.
Perhaps you could co-ordinate with Nighteye [ http://nighteye159.livejournal.com/ ] who did an incomplete translation of the original Eien no Aselia?
April 15th, 2009 at 11:04 am
yeah I think nighteye did the translation of storyline of eien no aselia original and a bit of the expansion version ( two more routes). He alsp translated seinarukana, the sequel of eien no aselia and I think it’s only satsuki route.
April 15th, 2009 at 9:38 pm
ok thanks! that’s great to know
April 16th, 2009 at 12:53 pm
So why not the H Version? Though I say I want the H version, I find Tears to Tiara had such awful H, I wish it was nevar in thar. I just don’t like Visual Novels that get it removed, as regardless of what people say, I feel like the maturity of the game goes down somewhat, you know? As usually not just ero-scenes are removed, but some more… “Brutal” scenes are changed too.
Another thing that pissed me off is the anime version of Tears to Tiara…they used the ghey PS3 versions of characters and pretty much removed anything that made the characters look unique and not generic anime characters.
April 16th, 2009 at 1:52 pm
As with other questions, I’ll be more inclined to address that one on the forums or IRC (checking the FAQ should already give a pretty good idea if you haven’t played the standard version; if you have, I don’t know why you’re even asking for the reason).
To put it in a word though: the PS2 version is superior; standard version doesn’t have anything better over it, but what it does have is what has probably kept people from translating it so far.
April 16th, 2009 at 6:02 pm
Why is so important the H? if you want it, just go and play the original.
i like your work guys so keep going!
April 17th, 2009 at 7:13 am
I agree…I would rather play the improved version with the no H content …since I wanted to play the game just for the story……but anyways guys keep up the awesome work and thanks again for spending your free time to translate the game for us!! THANX
April 17th, 2009 at 4:03 pm
If the H scenes are anything like Tears to Tiara, I don’t want them anyway.
April 19th, 2009 at 2:36 pm
By the way u guys work, i can say that u guys r really professional. I just wonder why u guys chose these adult games to translate cuz’ there r a lot of interesting J-RPGs with no English version. Anyway, i’ll play this game when u done the patch. Thanks u very much! I LOVE J-RPG
April 19th, 2009 at 6:31 pm
what kind of genre does this game have
btw thx for translating this game
April 20th, 2009 at 4:35 pm
testament: this isn’t an adult game, the post clearly states that it’s 12+.
managafun: Game type-wise, Tactical RPG/VN hybrid I guess, story-wise, War, Parallel World/Fantasy, Drama maybe, or something along those lines. The backbone of the game is a continuous military campaign with strategic combat (and 0 amount of luck).
April 20th, 2009 at 8:42 pm
well I can put that copy of Eien no Aselia – Kono Daichi no Hate de to use that came with Seinarukana finnalyI wiwsh you luck on this project . maybe if thsi si a sucess , they will translate Seinarukana in the future. Can hope cant I lol
April 22nd, 2009 at 12:32 pm
Thank you for putting effort into translating this game.
Translating the king-class of japanese games, j-rpgs, needs a lot of skill and time.
You have that skill and its a very noble cause that you want to share this game with the western world.
Thanks man.
April 24th, 2009 at 4:24 am
O.o Last Updated: 4/23/09: ur doing gud! keep going!
April 26th, 2009 at 4:33 am
Seeing as how you are translating the version that comes with ‘Sei Naru Kana SPECIAL PACKAGE’, are you considering translating that afterwards?
That would be pretty awesome, and would seem to make some sense as most (if not all) people who will use the translation you are doing for ‘Eien no Aselia – Kono Daichi no Hate de’ will also have ‘Sei Naru Kana’ (seeing as how they come together…)
May 7th, 2009 at 7:38 am
Nice Progress!!
May 26th, 2009 at 5:39 am
WOW superb progress!!!very impressive!!!
June 17th, 2009 at 6:06 pm
just wondering, can the patch be applied to the h version of the game, because thats what I have right now =/
June 18th, 2009 at 12:20 am
From my experience so far I’d say this seems unlikely to work to any degree; while technically most of the script and whole UI of the standard version would *be* translated in this patch as well, considerable differences in script would make even partial script insertion a lot of manual work; and the graphics face even more of a problem because of all the UI and technical changes, just trying to insert PS2 graphics as such will corrupt the graphics file so bad you can’t even run the game.
June 18th, 2009 at 12:27 am
Meh, I guessed something like that =/ well since the text is the same, I’ll find some way to still read the VN =) Thank you very much for the quick response.
