Gameplay FAQ / Walkthrough 1.12
Re: Gameplay FAQ / Walkthrough 1.03
Presumably you could fail the mind requirement, though I haven't tried this.
Re: Gameplay FAQ / Walkthrough 1.03
If you don't have 30 mind by the first branching point, you'll be taken over by Desire and get the bad end. In the original game; it was the "evil" route.
PM me for a table of CE addresses for all the spirits in Eien no Aselia. If you don't know what I mean, just be on your way...

Re: Gameplay FAQ / Walkthrough 1.03
Any tips on killing Kouin/Kyouko in Mission 14?
Kyoko was easy, but Kouin was impossible for me -- his healing spells are difficult to counter, and even when I defeated his side units, he refused to go down after a passioned frenzy from Aselia... My team's best attack so far is Heavenly Sword I (Selia 1 attack version), Frenzy I (Aselia 2 attack version), and Impact II (Blue version). I found since Kouin never seems to follow me onto greener areas, I always fight him in the desert where I suffer -20 Blue penalty.
Kind of make me wish I actually leveled up red characters... Wonder whether that would help at all, since his resistance is almost 200%.

Re: Gameplay FAQ / Walkthrough 1.03
He has 4 or 6 Trusscades, right? Just run them out without wasting your good attacks?
EDIT in lieu of double posting:
I want to know how support skill damage is calculated; for instance my Esperia takes 18K damage from a 3K power Apocalypse II when in the Supporter position, whereas Yuuto takes about 5K. If I just read the formulae given for attacks there shouldn't be any difference, since no defensive skills are activating.
I've also seen Aselia's Ice Banish VII take 4K or so health off a foe with about 14K, despite only having 5% power. How did that work?

Re: Gameplay FAQ / Walkthrough 1.03
Thought the formula is for attack damage, if you look at the elemental part you'll notice that resist directly reduces the damage so that a character with 200 resist would take 1/4 of the damage of a char with 50 resist. I'm pretty sure the spell formula is exactly the same except without the regular damage part. So resistance pretty straightforwardly reduces spell damage. And Esperia is notorious for her abysmal resist value...
Napolitan.... Rush!!Re: Gameplay FAQ / Walkthrough 1.03
Problem with him is that he starts to run away if he has no one left in his team or I believe if his teammates run out of attacks (4, a pretty quick one). Bigger problem -- he runs across the desert into a town I cannot go to due to story line restrictions. Ahhh... the sweet allure of 35000 mana...
Re: Gameplay FAQ / Walkthrough 1.03
You can drain Kouin's healing magic with your other squads. He only has 6 uses, so with four squads it will take a little more than one turn to drain him completely. He runs away most of the time, but there are some situations when he does not. So after fighting him like ten times I found a sequence of attacks that kills all his units, drains all his magic (easy) and from which he did not run away (hard). Then I killed him on the next turn. Oh, yes, sweet mana.

Re: Gameplay FAQ / Walkthrough 1.03
If I was to finish the game (aka. 1st playthrough) is it possible for me to load a save from a branching point and then be able to get the other characters (such as Kyouko and TOmoki) or do I have to start over.
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Gameplay FAQ / Walkthrough 1.03
Is there any way to access load menu during an enemy's turn? It's pretty frustrating to mess up something minor at the beginning of a long enemy turn (e.g. 3+ continuation battles) and have to quit out of the game or try to get a main character killed just to avoid waiting for many more battles to end.
Re: Gameplay FAQ / Walkthrough 1.03
Sorry Phlebas, I'm still confused - I only see the formula
Extra Elemental Damage Blocked (only against elemental attacks): Regular Damage Blocked × (resist + resistmod) / 100
Which uses the Regular Damage Blocked value, and no defensive skills are activating to block regular damage.
Also those guys only have 219% attack, so even if they did 438% of a 3060-power skill that wouldn't do how much damage it did to Esperia.
mstrchef117, it is very unlikely you'll be able to meet the requirements unless you have heroins teetering at the edge of 50/80 mind, but possible. I think the recommended approach is to start over, though, as you get to keep your levels and skills and advance further.
