Hi guys,
I'm searching for an in-depth walkthrough which tells me how to win every battle.
Like on turn * you need to build a labretory, or on turn * train Aselia.
If this isn't available, could someone post a 100% complete safefile?
Thanks in advance.
Searching for Walktrough or Save Game
Re: Searching for Walktrough or Save Game
Well, the battles aren't THAT hard. Where's the fun if you do it like a robot following a walkthrough to a letter? I don't think there's a walkthrough like that, but some general guidelines (that helped me, your mileage may wary):
For normal:
1. Train your green and blue spirits for a smooth sailing playthrough. You can ignore the red spirits (train them only if you have excess ether).
2. Try to have a blue spirit in each squad (for banish), survival over damage for your first playthrough imo.
3. Play it safe, if enemies are advancing, stack towers in towns (build 2 towers in a town and watch the enemies get obliterated).
4. On mission 7, when you capture Kemuserat, build a lvl 3 lab somewhere. Once you have access to Youtia, build a lvl 4 lab. That will allow you to build lvl 4 towers in 1 turn for defense.
5. Don't go overboard with ether converters. Something like 50k ether per turn is more than enough, I think. My first normal was two weeks go, so could be wrong.
6. Try to defeat the dragons (isn't that hard) and get their mana.
7. Mana crystals are also a good way to get mana. Don't destroy them only if you need mind for a particular squad (if you have to, break up the squads, and put 3 characters that need mind together and get the crystal).
8. Watch all the sub spirit scenes so you "evolve" them to KK class. The only one who won't be a KK is Nelie/Shiah, depending on your choice (Nelie is better, imo, so I pick her first).
9. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DON'T EVER HAVE ESPERIA TANK MAGIC!!! (yes, caps and bold, that's how much she sucks at taking magic damage).
10. Save often and in different slots, trust me.
For hard/super hard:
1. Red spirits (Nanaru/Himika) will be your best friends, just watch out for enemy blue spirits.
2. Now that you know the battles, you can go more on the offense (ex. Aselia/Selia/Nanaru).
3. For hard, 80k ether per turn, for super hard 100k ether per turn is OK. More is a waste imo.
4. Try to go for SS or S rank. You'll rack up on mana/ether and mind.
5. Try to train your troops evenly, that is, you'll have a harder time with one squad on lvl 60/99 while the other 3 are in their 40ties/70ties.
6. Watch out for new skills, some have nasty mind ranges, so a stronger skill with mind range (30-70) is in essence weaker than a lower power skill that has a mind range 80-100 (mind shouldn't be a problem at this point, with 4 squads I rarely go under 85, only with Uruka/Helion due to their support skills).
7. On super hard, pretty much anyone can take one turn of damage so you can go crazy with the squad setup (Himika/Orpha/Nanaru is fun, a bit risky, but fun
).
8. If you go for Lesteena's route on super hard, you get the most gamebraking character. Why? Try it and find out (but bring her mind to 90+ with mana crystals).
If you get stuck at a specific mission, ask for tips, trial and error is fun (at least to me).
As for a 100% save, I'm on mission 21 atm, going for my last (Tokimi) route. I'll be done with it today, maybe tomorrow morning, so if you really want that, I can upload it somewhere. I think I'll have everyone at 99 (except the heroines, I kept them at 97, reasons for that are in the spoilery part). I did fuck up with some skills (nothing major, you can get through the missions easily), but at 99 the only way you can lose is if you don't pay attention big time in battles (can happen, since they are repetitive).
Eh, maybe a bit spoilery, highlight the text if you don't mind spoilers.
The heroines are 97, because once they become Eternals, when you level them up, they get a massive stat increase (well most of them have 500 in at least one area, and 300+/400+ in the others, but hey, why not?). Yuuto is the same, so I kept him at 96, and level him only once when he becomes an Eternal, for the stat gains. If he or the heroines become an Eternal at 99 you lose some stat growth (well, not that it matters at 99, but still, I'm kinda a perfectionist so I know I'm anal about that, sorry).
End of the spoilery part.
Phew, after writing all that, I'm actually considering writing an in-depth walkthrough. Maybe if I catch some time after my diploma work is finished.
EDIT:
Actually, there are some great info threads here, so maybe I'd put them all together or something. Like I said, will think more seriously about it in a few days.

I'm trying hard mode right now, fire spirits rock! (although the enemy water spirits are quite nasty if you ask me
But anyway thanks for the hints
Re: Searching for Walktrough or Save Game
Wait for super hard. You're gonna hate the blue spirit combo.
Np, I'm writing a detailed walkthrough now, and honestly, it was because of your post here that I decided on doing that, so thank you. You are in the credits, btw.

Learned this the hard way in M3.Nidjo wrote:9. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DON'T EVER HAVE ESPERIA TANK MAGIC!!! (yes, caps and bold, that's how much she sucks at taking magic damage).
Seriously, she's got a terrible resist rating. Makes me think she's got the lowest out of all green spirits.
Re: Searching for Walktrough or Save Game
And you're thinking right. It does get a bit better under a certain circumstance, but do avoid having her take magical damage. Honestly, that was the most common reason for a game over on my playthroughs. Curse you my carelessness.SakuyaFM wrote:Seriously, she's got a terrible resist rating.
