Version 1.01 Bug Report / Tech Support Thread

Anyone experiencing problems with the installer should try this new version instead. Please post whether you were successful or not. I'll post this on the main site once enough people confirm that it works. -cheese

Common Installation problems:

• "Eien no Aselia installation not detected / Can't find aseliacs.exe."
  Try switching your locale to Japanese, then reinstalling both Eien no Aselia and the patch.

• "Could not load file or assembly 'System.Core, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' or one of its dependencies."
  or "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click OK to terminate application."
  This occurs if you don't have the latest version of the .NET framework installed. Get it off windows update, then try installing the patch again.

• "System.OutOfMemoryException."
  Download version 1.02 above.
  
  
  Known bugs:
  
  • Pixel lines on even intervals in window mode, slightly distorting graphics. Uncertain what causes this.
  • Certain characters in battle dialogue overflow and cause tiny pixel issues elsewhere in the text space on some computers.
  • Switching to fullscreen and back on a widescreen monitor distorts aspect ratio.

Well im not sure if this is a bug or not...and since i accidentally already passed the part, i cant post a screenshot either, but when esperia is giving Yuuto language training, the 2nd option for the second question she asks(the one about riquem or something), when i highlight it, it only highlights the first line, not the whole sentence. Prolly well known, and isnt a bug, i dunno.

Well it's not really a bug, those options just aren't meant to exceed 1 line so that's how it turns out.

Getting error after install
"Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thown."

And i have to alt + f4 after install.

Load the game, and the menu's and names are still in japanese.

Only english is the Text
then auto skip and back.

Everything else is japanese.

Any ideas would be great

I have alot of other games such as TtT. And a crap load more novels

Im running XP 32 bit
Core 2 Duo
3870 Graphics card

Been in japanese mode since right after install of windows.

Tried Re-installing (3 times)
Restarting after install then applying patch.
Checked my Locale and Region Settings.

Try copying over the .dataxx.gd files from your disc to game's 'data' folder and run installer again.

That sounds straightforwardly like you don't have enough system memory to run graphics replacer. Maybe cheese can figure something out. How much memory do you have?

Hmm graphics is 3870 512mb
and ram is Geil 2gib 800 ddr2
Core 2 Duo E8400

Just for some reason the patch hates me.

Rainmeter is telling me, I'm using 854MB of ram
and the Swap/page 757 with heaps to go. Unless this game uses crysis engine i wouldnt think i wouldnt have enough memory lol.

Any ideas would be awesome

Hmm shouldn't be that then with 2gb... if you have free HD space as well I'm clueless on that one.
