How much of the story changes? The text skip only worked at the beginning and I really don't feel like reading all of it again.

St. Yoto in ch1 changes to Japanese (English) and there'll be new scenes (starting with the very first scene you saw, obviously), mostly around ch3.

So besides that everything is the same and I won't miss anything new if I skip the text? Right now I am on Chapter 1 just before mission 3.

well, i don't know exactly if it's true but the only thing change in second playthrough without changing difficult bar is the change in chapter 3, and opens 2 more routes. For me, i tried hard on 2nd playthrough and it opened some new scenes. During the 3rd ones, i challenged Super Hard and it opened even more scenes + 1 new playable character in chapter 5 . After that no matter which difficult level i choose, the new scenes still remained but the new char's only available in super hard

Actually, the extra characters in Chapter 5 only appear on Lesteena's and Tokimi's routes, as a compensation for the lack of a third eternal on those two routes.

So pretty much aside from the scene in the beginning the only other new scenes are in chapter 3? So skipping the text in chapter 1 and 2 won't mean missing anything new? I just want to be 100% positive before I go pressing 'Ctrl'.

Yep, just skip to chapter 3, or use "Skip" button. I heard that it'll stop at scenes u haven't seen yet, i've never used that though

yes the "skip" button and Ctrl-skip works differently.
the "skip" button skips unread only, and he does so faster then the ctrl-skip.
found that out only on my 3rd playthrough

I know, but for some reason it doesn't work for me. It's as if everything on my second play through is unread text.
