About the Tokimi arguement ways back

After reading all the posts of the debate, I feel that you guys are missing something.
1) When Yuuto first hears Tokimi's voice, he can't remember who she is, he gradually remembers until he goes back to his world, when which he completely remembers due to Tokimi's postcard.
2) Yuuto is said to have an abnormally strong will that can break through mental influences, like when Tokimi tried to wipe his memory after the battle in which Shun turned into an eternal.
3) Thus he must be very emotionally unstable after the fight with Takios and Temourin in his world, so those strong feelings might have caused the mental wipe of Temourin and Takios to be negated.
4) Tokimi does state that right before Yuuto touches the door to the End of Time, that this is his last chance to turn back, and that if he touches the gate his existence as he knew it will be wiped.
And also Desire seems to also be able to break mental influences on Yuuto, as it is Desires last pulse that caused Yuuto to remember his fight with Shun.

Please don't remind me about that argument from so long ago.
I already feel like enough of an idiot for acting so immaturely there. And I feel like a hypocrite because I'm usually AGAINST such displays of idiocy...
But getting back to the topic. Those ARE nice points. That really clears up a lot for me.

You shouldn't worry about it too much. It seems that the scriptwriter didn't take his own timeline into account when he was writing the scenarios. Likely, it all can be explained by saying 'Tokimi did it" since she's retcon personified and thus able to rewrite history as she wishes. Maybe I'm just reading too much into it, though.

Thanks, and once again, you're probably right.
In the end, it's just a game, and we should probably judge it by how much we enjoyed the story rather than by how each and every minor detail lines up with each and every other minor detail. Makes more sense.

Aseliaverse isn't *"just* a game, though. It's a form of literature. All writers know that they always have to add up in the end, but then again, this IS a bishoujo game with multiple endings... so I guess it doesn't really matter how it's played out since everything's up to the reader and thus results in many multiverses.

Fine, fine. In the end it 's JUST a Visual Novel/Game/Piece of Literature/Pure WIN/Pure AWESOME (Henceforth abbreviated as VNGPoLPWPA) . I guess that the continuity should't be too messed up, but seriously, I don't see really minor details such as the stuff brought up by most people to be all that important, nor very bad for the VNGPoLPWPA experience as a whole.
Plus, if anyone thought that EnA was bad plot-hole-wise, then I can't wait to see the looks on their faces if (when?) they play Seinarukana. *Laughs Evilly

*
Edit: And taking the whole multiverse theory into account with Seinarukana makes me laugh even harder (Seinarukana itself is all about a massive multiverse, so your multiverse theory would result in a multiverse-within-a-multiverse system).
Awesome

Oh, I've known worse games that have a shitload more plotholes. Anyway, about the multiverse theory. It's quite interesting, as it's possible that Tokimi or any other Eternal will meet another one of his or her self... unless becoming an Eternal means erasing all your other multiverse selves from history, thus destroying what could have been... It's quite possible.

This might be the case... Or it might just be that multiple versions of one person don't exist in Aseliaverse.

Hmm with this multiverse theory I can now assume that Tokimi is actually scouring the multiverse for a Yuuto that WILL love her xD. Though I do gotta admit the multiverse theory isn't too far off from theories of reality that exist and apply to our reality so it's pretty cool.

Perhaps that's the real reason Tokimi left Yuuto and Heroine.
