Gameplay FAQ / Walkthrough 1.12
Re: Gameplay FAQ / Walkthrough
Is there an effective way to block/counter Heavenly Sword? Is Neutral units any good against elemental attacks? Or should I just use a Blue defender?
Re: Gameplay FAQ / Walkthrough
Nimthor has strong blocks and excellent resistance, if she's not more than about 6 levels (10 in Hard) beneath the enemy bluespirit she can probably take it. But you want to get her Kauto Kuminet as soon as possible, because that gives her several thousand HP and is something of a lifesaver.
If you're really stuck put Esperia in support and have her revive your defender.

Re: Gameplay FAQ / Walkthrough
Um why is everyone after raising farren's mind....? does she get a skill requiring high mind at some point?
Re: Gameplay FAQ / Walkthrough
Well, you get Halion earlier. Halion has about twice the HP than Nim has at the same level. And she needs less Mana to level up. She has a weaker blocking skill than Nim, so she will take more damage, but she will also heal faster (because she had good healing magic and with more HP more will be healed by each use). More importantly with this much HP she can survive any hit. Nim will die from some things that can not be blocked. So I consider Halion to be superior, even though I dislike her VA.hybras wrote: Fhoenix, I am totally confused by your unit placements. You prioritized Halion over Nim as the secondary sweepup team tanker. Do you have any reason for doing so? I remember Nim is tougher than Halion in regarding tanking hits. Or am I just wrong? (I've never leveled up NPCs except for the main attacker, Oru is leveled up consistently incase I need her for something)
You can avoid this if you take out the defender with a secondary squad and THEN attack with Aselia. Aselia will go first and redspirits won't have the time to use thier magic. That is if Aselia will aim for the supporter. If she goes for attacker first then I switch her with Yuuto for that battle.hybras wrote: If your level difference is great enough, you can afford Aselia/Espelia/Yuuto team formation, due to the nature of Yuuto's spells that prioritizes firepower and coupled with Aselia massive hulk damage, Espelia normally gets the short end of the stick, namely receiving fireballs and ether sinks. But I avoid trying to do that because I need Aselia on the support to counteract spells and Espelia can't suck more than one or two spell hits. And that seems to happen all the time. Infact Aselia only gets the front seater if the enemy is too high in HP for Yuuto to two shot k.o. (His Berserk skill is the two shot K.O.er)
hybras wrote:Faren is not secondary attacker because I avoid damaging her mind, and I can't recover her mind fast enough.
Faren has several multi-use low-level attack skills that allow her to recover mind fast. Using them won't hurt the enemy much but it won't hurt you either, and you do get mind from each use. Not that I use Farren a lot.
Can anybody give a link to the japanese skill progression tables (if there are any) or some general skill list? I am quit interested in what the high level skills are like. The current trend for giving me crap attack skills that lower mind with each use somewhat worries me.
Re: Gameplay FAQ / Walkthrough
When the info screen for the attack say Mind +1, does that mean the user will get mind +1 everytime that skill is used?
As well, is it possible to change class path once one started on one? For instance, if Aselia leveled to 20 with mind >50, but when she is at lv 30 her mind was 10, would she switch to the low mind class rather than the high mind class? Or would she not change class until the mind requirement is met?
For Ether Sink, does it choose supporter first? Or who does it usually target?
Block/defenders: Do they lose 1 use of skill per level, or per hit? As well, defence/block skills all have 1 activation per battle, but it blocks the second attack, but not the third. Is this normal? Is this why black users have so many attacks?

Re: Gameplay FAQ / Walkthrough
Yeah it's for every use.
And no you can't change class route once started.
There are different kind of ether sinks. Just see who it targets in skill description.
Defenders use 1 skill per action they block. Defense skills can have any number of uses as well.
And yes black spirits can bypass defenses to score critical hits with their multi-action attacks.

Re: Gameplay FAQ / Walkthrough 1.03
Found an interesting fact.............
The enemy team had a defender and supporter left, but no attacker, and it was time for my main squad to attack.
Yuuto attacked with "Explode" which has its skill description "However it can only aim for the enemy attacker"...and well......since there was no attacker he attacked the defender instead.
And the defender had the title "Enemy attacker" when yuuto attacked her. and the supporter "enemy defender" when it attacked my party.

Re: Gameplay FAQ / Walkthrough 1.03
2 things:
in chapter Iv desire and oath on esperia route: the "i've gotten pretty used to it" question is posed after the uruka and faren training question. it confused me a little while thinking i had somehow messed up on esperia route.
gatekeeper garion most certainly spawns on first playthroughs. i just finished killing him for the 35k mana. the fight was freakin hard lol. first time i actually had to beat a 20 turn limit. however you MUST fight him with the unit that you sent to the village that gives you the info on him.

Good to hear, still unknown what those others had wrong I guess, but I'll update again.

Is it even possible to get the bad end on your first playthrough? It seems like even if you miss all the others you'll still get Uruka.
