At SS you get the whole bonus, at S you get around 60% of that bonus. The amount of bonus mana/ether depends on the mission. Around 10000 by mid-game I think.
It should also be note that if you can kill Kouin/Kyouko in mission 14 before the time limit, you will get a lot of mana from them (about 70000). So far this mission is the one that you get the most for finishing fast.

Does anybody know if you can get a Heavenly Sword that does not lower mind later? So far I am really not impressed with this "most powerfull blue skill". It requires a high mind and lowers it at the same time. Blues aren't exactly know for the high mind since they kill things all the time, especially the subspirits as they do not get a bonus at mission end.

I'm not sure whose heavenly sword are you talking about, but Selia's "Heavenly Sword I"'s minimum mind requirement is only 30.

My blue spirits spend a lot of time banishing for +1 Mind a shot, so Selia is at 99/100 almost all the time, 98 when she kills something with HS. Himika spends more time in Attacker than Selia, and is better at it with her multihit elemental attacks.

HS is pretty awesome when the enemy does you the favour of using that divine magic spell which raises Blue element and Attack and lowers Defense for everyone in the battle. EDIT: Silent Field.

Well Aselia's level 2 has a minimum of 60. So it could become worth.

It's not like I have low mind at the moment. It's just that I do not like losing 3 mind per every kill.

I must second the "don't mind the ranking" comment ; I've finished two normal playthrough (yeah I know...), one having mostly A, some S and a C (not trying for ranks), and one having mostly SS and maybe an S or two, and there was hardly any difference in the end. It can give you a few level to max that fourth squad, but it isnt worth the hassle (plus that fourth squad will probably have "crappy" characters). Also, getting all the dragons and mana cristals is IMHO far more valuable.
The mind bonus is quite trivial also.

I think it's much more "enjoyable" to give up an S for an A, or even a B, so that you can max the level of at least your main characters in order to breeze through the fights. I'm not a big fan of saving every turn and trying different strategies to get the golden medal though, maybe that's just me :)
If I get stuck in my "very hard" game because of underleveled chars, I'll come here for sure to report though :p But it's still far away... (I personnally hate that last mission, it always takes me forever - plus it's ugly...)

Anybody here uses Red or Black spirits with great success ? They either deal no damage, or can't stay alive half the time (I hate having to gamble and reload if it goes wrong - talk about fighting against fate !)
I have every red and black but Farrel (she never had any morale and I was lazy...) at max level, yet I'm benching them because it's faster to mow down everything with the aseliuuto of doom. The both have damage AND utility...

I've found reds and blacks to be mostly useless, they excel at what they do - reds do large amounts of damage once, blacks chip away at defending skills, but neutrals and blues can do both....
PM me for a table of CE addresses for all the spirits in Eien no Aselia. If you don't know what I mean, just be on your way...

Well ive only just finished mission 11 and im still on first playthough but.....I find some reds like Himika and nanaru (especially himika) to be quite decent.
So far Himika has gotten some nice attack skills ( an elemental double edge with 600 atk power and 2 actions, couple that with a bloodlust and a other bonuses and she can really kick ass) and a nice 1500 dmg to defender support skill.
While on the other hand Nanaru has 2x himika's hp, high attack % and a nice All attacking flame shower which really mows down enemies...but her other attacks are a joke so far.

Both nanaru and himika have decently high resist too. So they can survive a black spirit's "chaos impact" or two if need be. Just dont pit them against physical attacks.

As for Black spirits, i cant say much at the moment as i havent gotten Uruka yet. However, Farren and helion are indeed quite crappy. Farren's elemental Full Moon Sword is decent sicne its elemental and 2 actions...and she has bloodlust...a slightly weaker vesion of Yuuto's "Inspire". While helion just got a 3 action shourded sword with decent attack power.

All in all, my overall impression of spirits goes like this, from best to worst..

Etranger>Blue>Green>Red>Black.

Also um......anyone got any tips to beat the dragons? (namely Nestoselas and Raze). Raze(crazy 1600+ dmg physical and breath attacks and 37.5k hp omfg) simply "erases" my defender from the battlefield, by max end of third turn. And Neo...well is even more deadly....

I just finished mission 11.

I'm finding black units to be better than red. I just can't find any use for Orpha half the time. Her hp basically makes it so she can only be used when the enemy cannot hit her at all and her spells dont pack the punch i need. Nanaru has a godly 800 hit all but once she runs out, she's useless

Unfortunately, helion is junk so far. i got her to 20 and her stats are terrible. she has the best counter attack out of the units but doesn't have the hp to back it up like uruka does. Uruka is definitely an all star. all of her starting attacks ignore the defender, and she has 5k freakin hp. Faren is a very good multipurpose character, i can use her against anything but the heavy hitting physical bastards (the fury and heaven strikers)

Himika is a pretty strong attacker, with high-power multi-hit elemental attacks (good for penetrating low-resistance greens) and good stats all around. Flame laser is still holding strong against Lv50 foes too.

Not sure, but Ether Sink will buy you two turns, as will Esperia's Revive.

I'm starting mission 4. Just curious, but which buildings should I make a priority to construct?
