FAQ never said that entering hard mode was optional, only said "Unlocked it"

Besides the route specific scenes are the ending of the seperate routes different or are they all the same.

Yeah, but it also says something like after unlocking the char ending you-ll get it by default unless you see all the secondary spirit scenes. at least that was what I understood.
Still If I c an use the save data to unlock the other endings I'd save a lot of headaches.
BTW Phlebas... where did that Kaori sprite came from? (that girl fighting would be funny to see almost like was it Nelia? one of the twin bluespirits, the one with long hair I am a cool girl phrase)
