Well, there is a sequel that stars the sub spirits called Spirits Expedition in Phantasmogoria. Stars a different MC and has different artwork though (warning NSFW link).

Once I started the first mission I was surprised to hear Esperia talking in Japanese for instructions and also to hear the spirits all speak it too.
